Press Release22
JAN 2006 RE:
KT Consulting wins GSA “VETS” award … KT
Consulting was notified by GSA that we are one of the 43 awardees for the
$5B 10-year GWAC. The award to KTC is one of the few that covers BOTH
Functional Areas (FA): FA1 – Systems Operation and Maintenance (SOM) and
FA2 – Information Systems Engineering (ISE). Each
subsequent Task Request must designate which FA is the proper scope, and
competition is limited to vendors awarded that FA. KTC will have access to
ALL task opportunities. The
Base Period is Five Years. There is one option for Years 6-10. The
contract allows tasks that are Fixed Price, T&M, and/or Labor Hour.
There are 98 Labor Categories in each FA. ODCs are allowed for a “total
solution” approach. The
Contract Access Fee is .75% (three-quarters of one percent) and is paid by
KTC out of contract Bill Rates. GSA
announced a kickoff for Primes on 31 Jan 07. We anticipate learning how
GSA will disseminate opportunities. (Note that for 8aSTARS,
GSA is using EBuy to disseminate opps.) KTC
is one of the top 10 of 423 8aSTARS
vendors based on quantity of successful Task Orders, and we anticipate
similar success with VETS. Our
thanks to all who contributed so diligently and timely during the proposal
process in the spring and summer of 2005. KTC will announce our approach
to VETS contracting once we have a formal kickoff from GSA and understand
the rules of engagement with GSA. We
would like to schedule a meeting with each of our teammates to discuss
probable language and T&C’s for the subcontract. Some of the
T&C’s may be subject to rules of engagement promulgated by GSA at
the kickoff. Additionally,
KTC is committing a certain percentage of net profits from VETS orders to
charitable organizations that support service-disabled veterans. See Press
Release that accompanies this one. More
